Roni Smith is the Trustee member of the sub-committee. Under the Terms of Reference, the Trustee member reports back to the Board of Trustees of Gordon Common Good SCIO and calls the first meeting after each AGM, at which officers are (re-)elected for their two-year terms.

Officers and Appointments

  • Members are appointed by the Trustee member of the sub-committee and reported to the Board.
  • Members serve for two years (renewable) and may resign by written notice.
  • The sub-committee appoints a Chair and at least one other officer covering both secretarial and finance duties — either one person acting as Secretary & Finance Officer, or two people splitting the roles.
  • The Finance Officer keeps the show’s records and works with the Common Good Treasurer; all income and spending goes through the Common Good’s account.
  • Officers are appointed for two years, with the option to renew, and do not have to be trustees.

New committee members are always welcome — please speak to any member of the committee, or email gordonflowershow@gmail.com. Help on the day, with setting up, staging, teas or clearing away, is just as valuable as a seat on the committee. A huge thank you to everyone who takes part in the show, and to all the helpers who make it happen.
