The MUGA (Multi-Use Games Area) is a fenced, floodlit all-weather court at Gordon Community Sports Field. It is marked out for five-a-side football, basketball, tennis and pickleball, and can be booked by individuals, families, clubs and visiting groups throughout the year.
About the MUGA
The court has a synthetic all-weather playing surface that drains quickly, so it stays usable through the winter and shortly after heavy rain. It is fully enclosed by high fencing, which keeps the ball in play and makes it a secure space for junior sessions. Floodlighting allows the court to be used after dark.
Four sets of colour-coded markings are laid onto the same surface, so the court is ready for any of the four sports without needing to be set up or converted. Goals, nets and posts are stored in the shed beside the court and are included in the hire — please return everything to the shed at the end of your session.
The MUGA sits on the Gordon Community Sports Field site, at the north end of the village. Use is by booking, and slots can be reserved online at any time.
